The tournament is based on Regulation Association Football Rules. And if you don't know them, then get learning! Ignorance is no defence!
However, we have a few special rules here that you might want to know
- Games are 15 or 20 minute halves, depending on the amount of teams competing
- 3 points are awarded for a win in regulation time. 2 points for a win after penalty kicks, 1 point for losing on penalty kicks.
- Tied games will be settled by penalty kicks. Best of three kicks, standard spot kicks (not running kicks). If it is still tied after three kicks, sudden death ensues
- Should the game go to penalty kicks, teams MAY NOT change their keeper after the final whistle has blown. We feel that to do so is unsportsmanlike.
- There is no limit to the amount of substitutes you can use. Also, players may re-enter the game even after being substituted,. However, players may only leave / enter the field at a stoppage in play and only after notifying the referee
- Referees may advance play 10 yards if a player gets lippy
- Players who wear '69' on the back of their shirts run the risk of automatic yellow carding
